KOF was ignored its first year at evo, As people learned the game it got more attention. You ask for proof and then when it doesn't match your preconceptions you disregard it? There is a stark incline when it comes to fighting games each year. You don't know much about the Fighting game community but talk like you know everything about it. If you ask any serious fighting game player they will parrot what I have been saying.
