The whole Bulbmin thing is just sad really. They're just there minding their own business when Olimar shows up, kills their mother, forces them to do his selfish bidding, then just leaves them to die. |
Pikmin has always been one of Nintendo's most brutal and disturbing franchises when you think about it. Hundreds of cute little helpful plant based beings used by potentially cruel alien (you/Olimar) to invade scavenge and depending on how good you are ultimately many of them either left to die or die for a cause they probably don't understand.
The whole thing makes it painful for me whenever I lose one of them due to negligence or random monster eating them without me knowing.
