Niche games will never get the same level of hype as a non-niche game as by definition it has a smaller target audience. Some of my favorite franchises like Fire Emblem and Super Robot Wars have a fixed level of hype because their target market segments are not as broad as those of something like Wii Sports.

However, on a relative level, niche games can be very well hyped. People who like sRPGs and Fire Emblem were very excited for Radiant Dawn however I'd guess that a majority of Wii owners probably weren't.

Essentially, complaining about the lack of hype for a niche game is self-defeating and complaining about the hype levels of a lineup of niche games (and unproven IPs/developers) is also pointless.
