Just for the record, I dont think cinematic presentation is a bad thing as long as you get to play the game for a very big chunk of the whole experience. I think TLoU is the best "cinematic" game in that aspect. You have hrs of hrs of awesome gameplay.
Also, I really think that in order to have a deep moving story; a great narrative (cinematics in important moments) is a must. Even games that have not so deep story; it get a bonus if they have great cinematics that complement the gameplay. The games that have my most beloved gaming characters have cinematic presentation :D
For example in DMC1/3/4: It does not has a deep nor elaborated story; but the badass cutscenes make the game more awesome :D
Off-topic: I really think a Silent Hill game with a similar TLoU approach can be really awesome (considering Silent Hill already had a cinematic experience to begin with). I really hope that Konami is assembling other Team Silent in order to make a game with the Fox Engine.
