Anyway, a generation is defined by when a console releases, so it's hardware doesn't have any bearing in that regard. Within a generation there is always going to be the weakest console in terms of hardware. Sometimes the difference in hardware is minute while in other cases it's large, as is the case with PS3 and Wii. You can't change the definition of a generation by hardware capabilities because it would get very confusing. I don't even think you should be getting in this argument. On the other hand, you could argue about what I said before, that is if the difference in power between GC and PS2 is greater than or less than PS4 and Wii U. I think people generally argue about the last part, but they name their argument wrongly by bringing in "generations", which seems to have become a misnomer at this point as an indication of console power, which it's not.
