Is Miyamoto's take on new IP's right?

I'd say wrong, content (world, setting etc. pretty much everything else but gameplay) in most cases defines game more than gameplay. Not that I have problems with Nintendo's new IPs, I have  problems with Nintendo maintaning some of their old IPs legacy.
