That's an interesting point. Indeed it could be that Nintendo's studios can't cope with the ever increasing workload that occurs when games become more and more complex. The absence of both a true new 3D mario game and any sign of the next Zelda only add fuel to this suggestion.

except for mario 3d world and the zelda title that almost got announced at E3 2013, right?
