No need to pay more, you can actually make your own 2d glasses in case you go to watch a 3d movie with someone else. You'll just need two pairs of 3d glasses and switch the polarized filters on them so that you have two pairs of glasses: one with two polarized filters for the left eye and one with two right eye filters.
