No, I mean why do you think it's so amazing that an older film could still entertain? I'm puzzled by that notion, especially since I still enjoy movies that were old when my parents were born.

It's very simple. It wasn't an old movie when it came out. People who watched it didn't think "wow, people of the future sure will look back and see how primitive this movie is", to them it was just an entertaining movie.

It entertained people back then, so why shouldn't it now? It's what it was made to do.
