The decline & incline of 2D showings depends on your town, which depends on sales at that individual theater outlet of any cinema business.

Haven't you read the comments of other users on this thread reporting a dramatic increase of 3D showings in their American cinemas with the 2D showings having a decline recently?

There are more towns & cities in America with an decline in 2D showings, and incline in 3D showings. Just because your one city is one of the few doing the opposite, doesn't mean it represents every cinema in America.

 

I personally already have Netflix, so what do I need to spend money to see a movie in 2D in theaters for.


Firstly I am not in America

Secondly, Number of movies is not a good way to currently work out success or failure as hollywood is pushing heavily for 3D to be a success regardless of what audiences think of it. I am also not just basing my comments just on observations but articles from research firms recently that are also predicting a decline in 3D cinema patronage.
