Thankfully 3D seems to be on the decline. Cinema's in my area are showing more and more 2D sessions and less 3D. 3D TV's are on the increase, but that is only because the better TV's also support 3D, I doubt many are buying them for that. Both my TV's support 3D, neither of them will ever have a 3D movie played on them, in fact I ebay'ed the set of glasses that came with them to get some of the money back for that useless feature.

Ur right about not many people buy 3DTV for the 3D. A survey showed that was the 4th most wanted feature behind screen size, resolution and smart apps for people who purchased 3DTVs.

45 3D Movies in 2012 (source: Wikipedia.org under lists of 3D films)

Over 70 3D Movies in 2013 (source: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=154457)

Over 100 3D Movies in 2014 (1 or 2 months ago I knew of around 30, but now I know of around 50...and I still keep finding out about more 2013 3D movies coming in the remainder of this year, let alone keep finding out about more 3D movies coming out in 2014)

How does that apply to what I said
