Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. First time I played it through I was completely focused on the main quest and found it boring and tedious. My friend told me to try again and just ignore the main quest and I fell in love.
Mass Effect. I had just rented it originally and thought it was just average. I stopped playing during the first vehicle level when I got stuck on a rock. Just a few months ago I decided to dive into the series again mainly because I've become a huge fan of scifi. I actually payed attention when people were talking and roleplayed a bit and had a lot more fun.
I've learned to appreciate WRGS in general a lot more than when I was younger.
