I was optimistic about Iwata before E3, but after... I don't know what to believe of what he says. Especially the third party situation is terrible and worrying. It is like Nintendo self and their second party's are really the only companies out there working on Wii U games. Yes there are games like SMTxFE, Sonic and W101 but those companies get paid by Nintendo to develop for Wii U, they don't make Wii U games because they want to. I don't care about games like Wolvenstein/Thief/The Division not coming to Wii U, they won't sell at all and Nintendo gamers don't want games like that. But now even the next Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts 3 (although the series sells excellent on their handhelds) are skipping Wii U because Nintendo decided not to listen to third parties when making Wii U. And maybe this is the worst about Iwata: he said third parties will 'regret skipping Wii U' for their games... based on what? It never happened in the past. So that means Wii U won't get important third party games for the coming 2/3 years (since making games can take that long or longer) IF Wii U suddenly proves itself by selling millions of third party games (which of course, will not happen).
I was hoping to be a PC/WiiU gamer this generation because of the big promises made by Nintendo, but it's not going to happen. I'll have to buy a PS4 eventually for important third party games.
