It's not about wave-dashing. Melee would have been great without it, and including it in Brawl would have not saved the game.

"saved the game"?  you say it so factually.  Not going to turn this into melee vs brawl, (and yes i do prefer brawl), but brawl didn't need "saved"  Been to a couple of tournies for both.  I have a deep understanding of both games, and i simply don't think brawl deserves to be inferred to be a failure on any degree.
