Yeah, while the touchpad and the more ergomic shape and size are nice, its disappointing we're still using dual analogue in the 8th gen. Feels like a step backwards. At least PSMove and the Wiimote are still supported, lets hope devs used them.

Why is it dissapointing or a step backwards? I don't think anyone ever came up with a better, more precise and comfortable solution, so why ditch something that works. Try to make it even better, exactly what Sony and MS did.
