GC games had better art direction and trickery. Xbox games had more advanced shader techniques however they were pretty limited in capability. Metroid Prime is still the best looking game of that whole generation. It ran at a smooth as silk 60fps @ 480p and had awesome lighting, reflections, ragdoll physics and more stuff than I can remember. It singlehandedly got me off the PC and back into console gaming. Games on the PC ran at higher resolutions, but none could compare to the overall Metroid Prime experience. It was 10 years ago but I'll never forget it.
