In terms of size. I don't particularly need the portability of the 3DS so the screen just feels too small now compared with the WiiU gamepad.  I'll get one, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Ah, I think I understands now. What still rattles me is that consoles have always been played on bigger screens. The Gamepad didn't change that, so I don't see why that affects the 3DS or makes it seem smaller all of a sudden. But eh, I really shouldn't be concerned with this lol.

The 3DS is my first handheld and I've played it almost exclusively while sitting on the sofa in the evening while the TV is otherwise occupied, as such the Gamepad has somewhat supplanted my 3DS in this regard. Going back to play 3DS games I can't help but feel the screen size is lacking, relatively speaking.

I also find the XL much more comforable to hold than the 3DS, the Gamepad even moreso.
