didn't say they're bad, just the 8-Bit art style for the sake of "Artistic" style is lazy.
why not we go back to the days of "Fixed camera" Horror games style for a change?
or Fixed Camera RPGs ? or 3D platformers (like Mario 64 not Mario Galaxy) , there is a lot of "Old School" styles that aren't used, yet developers love to use the 8bit
