I agree with him. Sony is known for taking other peoples IP's changing a few things and calling it a new experience. See PS all Stars, Uncharted, LBP, Modnation, or any other IP they have come up with last gen, its all just copies of what some other company did first.
The same people crying over 3 similar Marios between ds,Wii and Wii U are foaming at the mouth for part 5 or 6 of series on their console of choice so their argument usually ends up not being valid in the end.
When Nintendo does make a new IP it is ignored by the people asking for it. I can think of 5 from last gen but if I named then, the excuses would begin.

On topic:Nintendo should try more new ips though. Though the sequels do sell consoles so they are important too. That kind of is playing it safe though.

 I guess Uncharted, Last of Us, and Little Big Planet were all taken from someone else. Tell you what. If you can name a core Sony franchise that has a part 5 or 6 to it, I'd love to hear about it.

Ratchet and clank have like 11 games.  God of War has 6 plus the ios game, Grand turismo has 5 games, is that enough?

Idk about Little Big Planet as I never played it, but there are a lot of simularities between Uncharted and Tomb Raider.  And the Last of Us plays almost Identically to Uncharted (gameplay wise, the story is absolutely fantastic though).

Tomb Raider (reboot) came after Uncharted...so, yeah right.
