I think if Nintendo had put the $50-$80 extra the game pad adds to the hardware cost towards the chipset, they probably would be getting games like FFXV and Kingdom Hearts 3 and Metal Gear Solid V.
So I guess that's the pro/con of it, a more powerful hardware IMO nets Nintendo more multiplats I think, the system as is is too much like the 360/PS3 (last gen) without the userbase of those platforms, so its getting slighted.
It's fine though I've accepted Nintendo is basically doing their own thing in their corner of the market and a Nintendo console is basically about Nintendo franchises with a few extras thrown in now and again (like Bayo 2).
