Gaming - Piracy Vs Used - View Post

For the simple reason....our rights as a consumer (in pro-used, anti piracy & DRM). It's no one's damn business to tell me what to do with my copy so as long as I'm abiding by their terms of agreement.

I shouldn't have to pay extra for a used game released 5-15 years ago, or a game from 1-5 months ago. Consumers shouldn't be force to pay the developers extra cash for a used copy just because their crappy game was traded in by the original owner. If these games weren't so expensive and easily disposable, then maybe the original owner would've probably kept it still. If you look at Nintendo, they don't have a problem with it since most of their games tend to be good enough not to get traded.

The attack on the used game market by the industry is just an excuse to cover up their utter failures. If they were to stop and think that not all of their big budget games were AAA (hollywood like), then most of the companies that went under would've still been around

Piracy?......Not much to say about it since all that money that could have went to the indsutry (and possibly the overall economy) is now in the hands of an illegal market that plays no direct role in sustaining the industry, or economy for that matter. Though the latter that I had said could be debatable.
