40k < AC < 54k

It's higher than NSMB 2 which according to VGC sold 41k first week. Also digital sales not included which should be a lot for AC.

Oh yeah I didn't even noticed to look for Mario games that came out after Mario Kart 7.
The " biggest 3DS launch ever for a non-Mario title" part was still stuck in my head and I didn't bother to look for any other Mario game after MK7 release.
