Depending on measurements the original Xbox was as much as 4 times more powerful than the PS2. Given the similarity of the architecture between both platforms, third party games will be mostly likely be near identical. Third parties have always developed for the most common denominator. With the increasing budget of games, I don't see them starting to spend extra time and money to take advantage of earch platform now. The PS4 versions will probably look slightly better in direct comparisons but to the layman the differences will probably be unnoticeable.
