Look a post above.

But not only visually, but also gameplay wise it looks repetitive.

Is it supposed to play like that? What am I missing?

Explain this game to me.

Yes, it's supposed to play like that. What you are missing is that there is much more to the game than the easy overworld gameplay you've watched. There are also maze-like dungeons with a few puzzles where the amount and aggressiveness of enemies is more demanding, plus obligatory bosses at the end of them. Over the course of the game you find new items (like bombs, bow and arrow, boomerang, fire staff etc.) which give you more ways to combat enemies. You can also find plenty of upgrades (heart pieces and heart containers to increase your health, the ability to carry more bombs and arrows, better swords and armor etc.). You start out with almost nothing, but get increasingly more powerful.

Why am I even explaining this? You must have played at least Ocarina of Time, so you should know how the basics of Zelda work. The difference between 3D Zelda and a top-down Zelda like this is that everything in the top-down Zelda moves at a quicker pace which isn't bad at all in a type of game where it's about a feeling of growth.

All right.

But how deep is it and how long will it take to play through, compared to console Zeldas?

Do you think it will be frustrating like Ocarina of Time, where it's often very hard to find stuff you need to advance the story, and which has a few difficult puzzles?
