Don used to work with EA, he made Need for Speed popular with marketing, so Microsoft hired him hoping he would do the same with their stuff, they don't want to fire him it would leave a distaste on them, I am thinking they're showing Yusuf Mehdi more so he would eventually replace him, that guy also had bad luck with the whole "Xbox Go Home" thing.
