The term "core" is usually reserved for the COD and Halo crowd, which is dead wrong. IMO, the term "core" means us. It means gamers who can tell you what Ikaruga and Sin and Punishment are. Core gamers are the ones who know the differences between the international release of FFX and the US one. Core gamers know the industry inside and out. From the beginning to the present time etc. They're NOT "dude bros", as people call them these days. Those types of gamers are like casuals, only they play shooters/sports instead. Completely uninformed in MOST cases, and about as far from "core" as you can get.
So answer the question? The "core" gamer is already on board with Nintendo and always will be. Dude bros? Not so much.
