This is a little different judging by the interview regarding the title, we shall see.   But as I have said before, a timed exclusive of a year is pretty much an exclusive, they sell very badly on the switch to the other console

Depends on what you consider as "very badly". The developer in question doesnt seem to think the games sell badly, because the sequels are usually launching on the console day 1. Lets look at a few examples.

Mass Effect 2 was a 1 Year timed "exclusive" on the 360. The game sold 1.25 Million units on PS3 and Mass Effect 3 released day 1 on PS3 with the 360 version. This is a story driven franchise.

Ninja Gaiden 2 was a 1 Year exclusive to 360. Sigma 2 released on the PS3 a Year later and sold 200k less than the 360 version. Ninja Gaiden 3 released multiplat and the PS3 version outsold the 360 version.

BioShock was a timed exclusive to the 360. It released a Year later on the PS3 and has sold 1.14 Million. BioShock 2 and Infinite released day 1 on PS3.

Oblivion was a timed 360 "exclusive". It released on PS3 in 2007 in sold over 2.8 Million units. Skyrim launched day 1 and has sold over 4.6 Million units on PS3.

Tales of Vesperia was a 360 exclusive for a Year and sold 650k worldwide. It released on PS3 and sold 430k in Japan alone, the series has since moved to PS3.

Dead Rising was a 360 exclusive, it sold 2 Million units. Dead Rising launched day 1 on PS3 with 360 and sold within 100k units of the 360 version. DR: Off The Record on PS3 outsold the 360 version.

Timed exclusive games are pointless in the grand scheme of things and they dont benefit the developer in the slightest. This should stay exclusive, but I wouldnt be surprised at all to see EA's Titanfall go multiplat at a later date.
