From reading comments I think people would have been happy if it's a new IP or a new metroid game. But yea I guess you are right. If they had something else..no reason why they can't even tease it. They did use a teaser for Bayo2 reveal. Do they have any other Nintendo Directs scheduled soon?

A couple software showcases. Maybe we'll get a surprise direct like the last E3 where they annouced Bayonetta.

By showcases do you mean like game specific directs? I know they have some interviews scheduled today (dunno if they had them already tho)

That and the big 1.5 hr Pokemon thing.

And remember, the 3DS XL was announced ina surprise June direct after E3. Won't be surprised if they have more info.
