Whether you are satisfied with the games Nintendo showed or not, the fact remains:
Several were delayed.
They line up for the next 9-12 months looks THIN (as in few games), and this is already after a 6 month drought.
Nintendo needs momentum, they need to SELL MORE CONSOLES. Who thinks Wii U will get any attention at Christmas 2013 with $349 price point, a Gamecube remake and a 3DS platformer sequel?
I am not attacking Nintendo because I want them to fail, I am attacking them because I want them to succeed. And right now they are not doing what is necessary to make Wii U a success as a platform. The "core gamers" will flock to PS4, the "casuals" will not spend $349 for a console to play games that do not show real innovation or major improvement from Wii.
So we are getting a few new games that seem less than Nintendo's full effort, we already had a long Wii U drought, and us Wii owners had an almost 2 year drought before that!
How does Nintendo expect to even keep the loyal base they still have left? And why do they not want to sell games to the huge Wii base anymore?
It's like they were so afraid of the "casual" competition from social games and mobiles and tablets that they just abandoned it completely.
I predict the Wii U will be the least successful Nintendo home console ever, by far.
