If it's not ready to be shown then Nintendo deserves to get mocked hardly. Their last project was DKCR in 2010. 2 and a half years ago. And looking at the in-house developed games (WWHD, 3DWorld) it's like nobody mentioned them that they are working in a new powerful console. MK8 was the only one that looks good, well, and Smash.

Even if there's another project, I'm not expecting anything mindblowing anymore.

From reading comments I think people would have been happy if it's a new IP or a new metroid game. But yea I guess you are right. If they had something else..no reason why they can't even tease it. They did use a teaser for Bayo2 reveal. Do they have any other Nintendo Directs scheduled soon?

A couple software showcases. Maybe we'll get a surprise direct like the last E3 where they annouced Bayonetta.
