They are growing on me.. they are getting better to a point that they are actually fun to play.. Need for Speed was great, Fifa is fun, Modern Combat gets better refined every new time.. can't really complain about the SE ports.. FF4 is fantastic.. |
That could be it. I haven't been trying the latest ones due to my old iPod so might change opinion when I try them on this fall's iPad. Still seeing those console game prequels, old game ports or third person view games just seems weird. iOS games I like are normally experimental, quirky, flash experiences based around the touch input (and motion controls). Although there are a few exception of standard touch controls I have enjoyed (like a few twin-stick shooters or platformers); but I've played the port of GTA3 or that Dead Trigger game for 5 min and deleted it xD

I love that game. I got every star in that game. It was such a challenge, it was so much fun though. I feel bad that I didn't spend a cent on the game though. I will definitely buy the 2nd game to support the developers. Edit: I changed my mind. The game is $3 which I will gladly pay. I'd even pay $5 or a little more. But after reading the reviews, they still charge a bunch of money for unlocking the new extra heroes, and they also try to sell you Gems as well as not making the game Universal so you have to buy another version for the iPad. All three things that I hate about mobile games business models. I can't support this, even if I think the game would be good. |
I completed the first on flash and then played few levels on iOS when it came out. I was also going to get it, but after seeing what you just said might just wait for the flash version. Thanks for the tip!
@bold: Agree. I also hate it when a paid app is updated (downgraded) to add ads, IAPs or becomes freemium... make a new app for gods sake!
