3rd parties would be able to do anything they wanted either way. PS4 works for gaming 100% (No multiplayer of course) without any internet connection at all. PS4 does not require online registration for games. Sony has also stated that PS4 will not block used games. They said this directly after the PS4 reveal. So, with them heading into the market in a completely different direction, I am still unsure how 3rd parties will react. I will have to wait and see.
They have also been very very interactive with the community as well on the entire subject. It sounds like at the least all 1st party games won't have DRM.
Why would I be worried right now? Why would I want to be paranoid?
If it happens it happens and I wouldn't buy their console. Right now though, it doesn't look that way. So, until it happens, I won't just put it on my mind for the sake of putting it on my mind.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
