Casuals only have a general view of products in the games industry not an indepth one. They only see on the surface and marketing is key for people with that viewpoint. DRM is an issue but lets see what Sony says further about third parties shall we? They said there is no DRM, so we'll see how much truth that holds at E3. They said you can enjoy your games without an internet connection at all which is like a slap in the face to DRM. If you use a third parties game...its no differnt from an EA origin watchdog account. Sony left it up to third parties so they can make asses of themselves when the backlash occurs.
