This late in the gen, most games receive massive price cuts a mare weeks after launch. I picked up Far Cry 3, Hitman Absolution and Need for Speed most wanted for half price withing 2 weeks of release. These games would not have sold anywhere near where they did without the price cut.
There is no reason to make games cheaper. And used games really isn't that big of an issue.
