I don't like it either. Nothing is out of reach of hackers. Not sure what hackers or the likes could do with that info but it still makes me uneasy. MS just keeps imposing crap on their customers, its ridiculous.
Secured or not, people don't like being watched. I sure as hell don't. Why did they make Kinect a requirement?
