Essentially, it has showed that console gaming is moving towards embracing all of the negatives of PC gaming: DRM, installations, and all of that, without embracing the advantages: customisability, modding of games, and huge savings through Steam.
Consoles are supposed to be plug and play, social experiences, and this is kind of taking away from that.
