I think this would be a great game to modernize. It would fit perfectly on the 3DS in isometric view, with the ability to get a top-down view if needed.
The stones you would jump on could look more realistic, maybe actual stones if need be, or alien plates. It would be cool to carry forth the spooky theme of startropics, and the happy-tropical theme as well. I would like to see a well-made Mike with good emotions when he gets hit and looks cool when using his yoyo.
I would love a game like this and if it's well done I would most likely buy it.
