I don't think I've ever bought a system soley for an indie game, but games like Braid have swayed me to particular consoles over others, be it buying the system or even just visiting the store more regularly.
On the PC I have a fair number of indie games though as they tend to fill niches left by the larger publishers like horror, sim, platformer or turnbased games. In fact they are one of the reasons why I game on the PC more than console now.
