Does this surprise anyone? Exclusivity of Sonic to any brand at this point isnt going to strengthen them.

Yeah, even though Sonic was in the top 20 most successful franchises, there's no way it could strenghten WiiU's position, because doom and all that.

Also:

Secret Rings Wii > The Hedgehog 2006 360 + PS3 combined
Unleashed Wii > Unleashed 360 + PS3 combined
Colors Wii > Generations 360 + PS3 combined
Generations 3DS > Generations 360 + PS3 combined

Pretty obvious why this partnership was made.

I get it, Sonics demand isnt great on HD consoles. It sells better on the wii. Same crowd that its being marketed to, I understand. Again..How does it stengthen Nintendo? Nintendo is just poking and prodding with the exclusivity, I highly doubt Microsoft and Sony are crying about it.

Nintendo made this deal to benefit their console, not to take shots at MS or Sony so who cares if they're not crying about it?...

I'm guessing Sega and Nintendo both  considered all the factors and did market research or whatever before coming to this agreement.

But, nah, the guy who always has a problem with whatever decisions Nintendo makes says they just poked and prodded with the exclusivity. That's probably what it was.

They knew Sega would go exclusive with them. Come on.....They knew where the bulk of their sales are coming from. Nintendo needs to hit Microsoft and Sony where they live but they are only going for the safe bets and will barely do anything for them. Hopefully they can help co-fund Sonic and help it return to former glory. If not what a waste.
