No it isn't. Power is down to numbers which can be easily compared. If a hardware engineer - a trained professional says so, he is going to be right.

Who works with the gear everyday? EA has recused itself of Wii U development altogether. Especially the sports department, which didn't even try for FIFA or Madden.
It's this guy's word against Criterion's. I'm going to go with the developers that put in effort and aren't probably about to be fired.

I hate to break it to you, but they did release a Madden version on the WiiU. They HAVE dealt with the WiiU before so they are speaking from experience, which is more than anyone here.
