Um.....you're not paying attention. If you put the PS3's sales from its launch against Microsofts respective launch, Sony outsold the 360 by eight million when the gap was at two million. The gap is below 100k which means Sony has outsold them by 9.9 million based on numbers of actual years on the market. The gap closed because Sony had been outselling Microsoft for a while. This is just an easier way of showing how the gap closed. If Sony and Microsoft had launched next to one another Sony would've outsold it by ten million. Next generation, they will launch together, so Microsoft better be ready to see actual sales instead of a years head start. |
I am, you're just getting ahead of yourself. I understand where you're coming from but the numbers say that right now the 360 is STILL ahead. The ps3 is not 9 million ahead at all. It's nowhere near it. Xbox 360 and Ps3 have both recently been the best console in terms of sales for any given year. 2011 was 360, 2012 was Ps3 and 2013 isn't even half way through yet but the ps3 again is looking likely. It has sold at a faster rate since launch but it still hasn't outsold the 360.
