They should focus on fostering smaller studios but ones with potential.
They did it with Rare and turned them big,
Retro's pretty respected now too.
No one knew who the hell Monolith were until they made Xenoblade.
Less buying upright, more opening studios, helping lead developers open studios. (Micheal Ancel if he leaves Ubisoft. Rayman.)
Actually now that I think about it, Nintendo did this with a LOT of Square's former employees. Even the AlphaDream dudes are former Squaresoft. If I'm not mistaken Brownie Brown too.
