The entire market seems to be that way.
In April we only had 3 3D movies:
Jurassic Park 3D
Storm Surfers 3D
Tai Chi Hero 3D
All of them live action.
But in May we got like 5 or so 3D Movies.
In October we got 4 or 5 3D movies in the first week, plus the other 3D Movies of October on different weeks. Also when we get a lot of good games like Batman Arkham Origins 1 (PS3/360/Wii U) & 2 (3DS & Vita) & Pokémon X & Y (3DS) & who knows what other video games in October.
It all seems to be all marketing to work around people's budget. This seems to ensure that us consumers will have money when they release the big guns LOL.
