Wii

November 2006 - 530k
November 2007 - 1.7m
Decmber 2006 - 2.4m
December 2007 - 4.3m

All these consoles launched in November(unless i read it wrong).  As you can see they all had a much higher 2nd year than 1st year.  This is because people are now aware of these consoles mainly because there is more games in the 2nd year.  3rd year is stronger than 2nd year.  When it comes down to it, the launch year is always one of the lowest selling years.

If Wii grew by 2x - 3x in it's second year, and Wii U sold 2.5 million units during its first November/December, that means Wii U should sell at least 5 million in November/December alone, that is assuming Nintendo releases a few good Blockbuster games. I think we should expect Wii to sell around 8 million for the year.

So I think Wii U will have 9.5-14.5 million sales by January 2013. Quote me, bet me, do whatever you like.

I bet you a month of sig and avatar control.

.....

and I win, I'll send you the image for your new avatar within a day or so.

I have a feeling that I'll loose this bet, but deal. Wii U has to have sold 9.5 million units (lifetime) by the week ending January 4th, 2014 for me to win, and <9.5 million units for you to win. Wii U has to have 9.5 million units sold when the global sales are published, and not afterwards in an update or something.

Even if I loose, I don't think I'm betting much. I just had the gayest Pikachu as my Avatar for a few weeks, lol.

Deal?
