Two of my long time favorite publishers whom I've always admired for their outrageous IPs but are now in steep decline. I'll be forever grateful for stuff like Yakuza and Valkyria Chronicles and Binary Domain regardless of how poorly they may have sold, but if Sega is really going to focus exclusively on Sonic and Aliens going forward then I'd be perfectly content to see them cease to exist altogether.
Capcom is likewise becoming more risk averse. Worse, they've been hemorrhaging talent like crazy for years now. Inafune leaving was a huge blow in my eyes. They seem to basically be down to Monster Hunter and Resident Evil at this point for money franchises, which makes them a mite more relevant to me than Sega as I still like RE a lot. Fuck the haters, 6 ruled. I seem to be in the minority there, though, so they are one more misstep away from being in a very dangerous position. And that misstep will probably come sooner than later since they are milking the series at an unbelievable pace. Hell, even I was gonna skip out on Revelations until I saw this...

You win, Capcom... for now.
