in japan, the 2 fingers up that we accustom to a "peace sign" is what the japanese accustom to a "victory sign". Which why ken does it win he wins a match in street fighter, and why mario does it when he beats a level in quite a few mario games. My best guess here, in conjuncture with basilzeros post, is that the symbol on the back of his jacket is merely a customized V-symbol standing for victory.
