With the ridiculously low power draw of the WiiU, this seems rather unlikely. Especially when you look at how simple the cooling system is.

I don't doubt they could increase the clock speed, but this would have been designed from the start to give developers a boost later in the products life cycle. There is no way they could increase it 300% and keep the power draw low and the system cool enough.
