Wii-U's gpu is called Mario, and AMD named it that over 4 years ago.

Of course once this or anything by anyone else is released that's beyond the PS3 and 360 to reproduce you'll still have people with an agenda in denial. The Wii U third party trailer at E3 a couple of years ago is a prime example of this.

Yup there is a "group"of people that always go.   "Its not more powerful than our current console"   And when they are proven wrong they  change to  "of course its better its  XY years newer than our old console  silly you"   and when their new console comes out  "WiiU is so much weaker than our console  how embarassing for Nintendo"

The Zelda demo looked a bit to polished in my opinion, and almost perfectly sharp. It was like watching the PC version of a multi-platform game with additional filtering options, i don't think we will see Wii-U games that look that sharp. Also the demo showed one confined space.

What makes you think the Wii U couldn't pull off "additional filtering options"?

It can but but it would be way to heavy, the demo shown seems to be running at full-hd with additional filtering. I don't expect any 3d game on Wii-U to run at 1080P.
