It IS 5-6 times as powerfull in computing power, it also has 4 times the memory at much higher speeds. And that really isn't a marginal difference, anything under 100% difference is marginall. The biggest difference being that Wii-U won't be able to do physics like PS4 and nextbox can, therefore if these become an important part of the gameplay Wii-U can't run those games. But there's no use in arguing about this anymore, i'm just afraid people might make a wrong decision in purchasing the Wii-U for the wrong reasons. A friend of mine was thinking about buying one because he wanted to play some of the motion controll games from the Wii again and thought that if he bought a Wii-U he would be settled for the next 5 years getting all the same games exactly the same way as he would on a PS4. He wasn't informed about any technical aspects just like you mentioned most people aren't. When i told him that the PS4 is going to be much more advanced and that Nintendo isn't well known for the best third party support(i said ''getting games like GTA and COD) he was suprised. He ended up buying an discounted Wii instead and is now saving for the new Xbox(yeah his fellow students play xbox, so no PS4). The thing is if you're not really interested in Nintendo's own games there is no reason to buy a Wii-U and you're going to get the better experience on a PS4 and Nxbox for the other games, if they are even released for Wii-U. |
are you blind? i said they might be 5-6 times more powerfull than THE PS3 AND XBOX 360. THE WII U IS LIKE 3-4 TIMES THOSE CONSOLES, THUS MAKING THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WII U AND PS4/NEXTBOX ONLY MARGINAL.
IF someone isn't interested in sony/microsoft own games, wii u is just as good as an option, if not better.
