It's actually the best debut so far for the series.  Both for a single SKU, and combined.

It doesn't change the fact it's low for such a high-profile game. Major western games usually do better than that.

That's not very fair considering the game should be compared with things are relative to itself. Which is why I think it sold decently and should surpass all previous Bioshock lifetimes in Japan.
